Pololo

Barefoot brand from Germany, founded 2003.

Pololo is a Berlin brand that mainly makes children's barefoot shoes in sizes 18 to 34. The range covers first-walker shoes, sandals, slippers, sneakers and wool-lined winter boots, with a flat, flexible sole and a wide toe box. I like that they use vegetable-tanned, chrome-free leather, organic cotton and vegan options like cactus leather, made in Spain, and they now also do a smaller adult range in women's and unisex styles, sizes 36 to 45.

How Pololo fits

Mostly a kids' brand, and I couldn't find fit details for the adult Plus range. Pololo says most models suit medium to wide feet, but the Uni and laced wool-lined shoes are described as narrow to medium. Add about 1.2 to 1.5 cm to foot length and go up a size for wool-lined pairs.
