OAKA is a small California brand making barefoot dress shoes for the office and smarter occasions, so it is a good one if you need something formal. At the moment there are two Derby styles: the Adams, made from a knit of recycled plastic bottle fibres, and the Jefferson, made from full grain leather. Both are zero drop with a wide toe box, a flexible sole and a faux heel cutout that gives a classic look without adding any height.

How Oaka fits

I'd say these suit wider or higher volume feet. If you're a half size, Oaka says to go down, and one reviewer found them half a size large. The leather Jefferson has a very broad toe shape and some owners had heel rub, so use the free exchange if needed.
